Nutritional Information:
At the Flying Apron we believe in using the healthiest ingredients possible, including completely whole grain flours, almost exclusively organic ingredients, natural and alternative sweeteners, and an entirely plant-based menu. Specifically, all of the ingredients at the Flying Apron Bakery are unrefined and organic (with the exception of three non-organic ingredients: pure vanilla, the concentrated fruit juice (which is in only three products) and the certified gluten-free oats. The Flying Apron baked goods are also cholesterol-free due to the absence of dairy and eggs, the oils are pure, organic, and cold pressed, and the majority are low in unsaturated fats, except where organic palm fruit oil is used. (The palm fruit oil however is less saturated then butter or coconut oil, as well as palm kernel oil, and is used in moderation in our frostings and pie crusts.) While we are contacted occasionally for more specific nutritional analyses, we have chosen not to determine the nutritional breakdown, because we believe in the quality of our ingredients. We also believe in listening to the wisdom of our bodies when we choose our foods, and choosing foods based on their quality and health promoting properties, not their numerical properties.
